Structure of the program:*
Teams are smaller than traditional TBall teams (6-8 players) and there will be 3-4 teams on the field, two teams will engage in a short game of 2-3 innings (with all players batting) while the other team(s) will practice fundamental skills in the outfield. Then after 30 minutes, the teams rotate so that all teams will participate in mini games along with an opportunity to practice!

TBall/Rally Cap is a lot of fun to coach. Below the video on this page are more than enough videos for Coaches to plan drills at each field time. You can simply go in order and not repeat a drill once in our 6 week season. MLL is also pleased to offer Coaching Clinics coming up in April to help new coaches feel more comfortable. There is no cost to volunteer as a coach.

TBall is at risk of not running for the 2026 Spring Season due to a lack of volunteers. Please volunteer to Head Coach a team. It's a great way to start as the kids don't know any more about baseball than new coaches. We have lots of resources to help you learn, and it's a lot of fun.
Also - you're at the ballpark with your child anyways so please consider volunteering as a Coach so that we can make this happen for our players.

*Note that our ability to offer this program depends on having enough volunteer coaches. If we are unable to secure enough volunteers we will revert back to a more traditional TBall format.
