There are Tournament team opportunities at all levels above Rookie.
FYI Minor and Major Spring House League participants will participate in 1 tournament with their Spring Team: MLL's House League Tournament. Tournament Team participation would be for other tournaments, and is co-ed.
Try outs will take place Spring 2025
**PROGRAM DEPENDANT ON SUFFICIENT REGISTRATION AND QUALIFIED COACH SELECTION
**Try outs may apply, dependent on registration
In addition to Spring baseball, MLL will be hosting a Division Tournament (Travel) Team this season for those who would like to try out.
Tournament Teams consist of players selected via try outs to participate in appropriate-level tournaments outside of regular league play while continuing their regular season schedule. Players will be on a separate Spring team with dedicated practices and games.
Joining a Tournament Team requires a higher level of commitment, including additional practices and potential travel for tournaments. Play time during tournament games will not be equal, and will have a competitive atmosphere. Families should consider these factors before deciding to participate.
- Tournament Team Registration Fee: $225 per player (due upon successful tryout). This includes a team jersey, belt, socks, extra field practice time, and participation in the Pete Loyen Tournament (Ottawa West) May 31–June 1. Financial support options are available.
- Additional Tournaments: Teams and coaches may choose to enter more tournaments, with additional costs covered through fundraising or sponsorship (responsibility of the team).
- Additional Cost: Parents are responsible for travel, accommodation, and meals related to competition that are not covered by fundraising efforts.
Other Tournament options the team could consider include:
July 4-6 Del Harper Tournament (Perth)
August 1-3 Scott Tokessy Tournament (Kanata)
Coaches and teams will decide amongst themselves which tournaments to participate in.
Additional tournament registration fees will funded via team seed money or fundraising by each team.

You've heard of the Little League World Series, held every year in Williamsport, Pennsylvania?
To get there, teams compete against local teams for the chance to represent their District at Provincials, then their Province at Nationals, then on to the World Series to represent Canada.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
MLL's District Team is made up of House League players registered with MLL, selected via try out.
This team will represent Mississippi Little League in the World Wide Little League Tournament which starts with the District 8 play downs.
The winning team will move forward to Provincials, if successful will continue to Canadians and ultimately the World Series competition in the USA.
This is a very competitive level of Little League baseball play.
Athletes trying out for the District/All Star team MUST be available for district and provincial game play schedules and must be committed and able to attend practices and team commitments as a priority within their schedule.
District Playdowns are the beginning of a very high level of competition, ending with the final games at the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania for Major and up.
In 2023, MLL competed in District 8 Playdowns at the Intermediate level.
In 2024, MLL competed in District 8 Playdowns at the Junior, Major and Minor levels.
2025: In 2025 any District Team will be based off MLL's Tournament Teams. Try outs will take place for Minor, Major, Junior and Senior Tournament Teams in late May.
District 8 Playdowns (to determine which team from District 8 will represent District 8 at Provincials take place late June/early July.
Minor Provincials are expected to be in Brockville.
Major Provincials are expected to be in Oakville, with Canada Tournament in Victoria, BC.
Intermediate Provincials are expected to be in Ancaster/Hamilton, with Canada Tournament TBD.
Junior Provincials are expected to be in Timmons, with Canada Tournament in Lethbridge, AB.
Senior Provincials are expected to be in Orleans, with Canada Tournament in Ontario.
